Pair of Chinese glass snuffs
Description
Pair of fine glass Chinese swabs with agate stopper. These slatches are fully hand-painted and come from Chinese crafts. The level of detail of the patterns drawn on these bottles requires several days of work for painter artists. Delivered in a storage box with a wooden support (presenter) offered.
Also called "snuff bottles", Chinese snuffers come in the form of small vials protecting tobacco from moisture. This stove closes thanks to an airtight cap that is stone in agate.
During ancient China (Qing Dynasty) smoking tobacco was illegal. However, snuff was allowed, since tobacco was considered a cure for cold, nausea, migraines, or stomach aches. For this reason, the swordsmen are now part of the Chinese cultural heritage.
