This green tea sencha chumushi originated in the city of Uji-shi, Kyoto Prefecture, which is considered one of Japan's best regions for the production of Japanese sencha and tea in general. The sencha is Japan's most popular and consumed tea. The sencha chumushi is subjected to a steam bathlonger than most sencha in orderstop the oxidation process, making it less bitter and softer.
