The Shakyamuni Buddha is an Indian Crown Prince of the Shakyas, a family whose kingdom was located near the Himalayas. He renounced the throne and his princely life to devote himself to finding a solution to the suffering of human beings.
Engaging in a spiritual quest, he reached the awakening after a deep meditation under a tree, and traveled all over India to share enlightenment. It was later that he was called the Buddha, which means " Awake " In Sanskrit. The Buddha Shakyamuni is considered by all forms of Buddhism as the " A pure and perfect Buddha."
